Wood, our intimate family festival, takes place on the 17th–19th May in the beautiful Chiltern Hills at Braziers Park, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

We recently received the Circular Festival Award at the International Greener Festival Awards -  we set up our festival the same year the UK Greener Festival awards began, so it really does feel like we’ve come full circle.

So, who is joining the lineup for our 11th edition?

TUNNG
Since forming in 2003 and over the course of five albums, Tunng are a group that have explored the boundaries between acoustic and electronic music, becoming synonymous with the folktronica genre before moving into territory that managed to both evade that label and continue to redefine it. They are a group that have been ever-fluid, reacting and responding to line-up changes and shifts in musical directions with a seamless grace. Tunng released their sixth album “Songs You Make at Night” in August 2018 to critical acclaim.

MARTIN HARLEY
Martin Harley is a supremely talented acoustic roots and blues guitarist, singer and songwriter with a burgeoning global reputation. The new studio album ‘Static In The Wires’ was released in February 2017, it was produced by Martin & Daniel Kimbro and recorded in Nashville. It follows the critically acclaimed ‘Live At Southern Ground. A ‘Spellbinding 50 minutes’ as The Observer put it. It is Martin’s 7th album to

BELSHAZZAR’S FEAST
Paul Hutchinson (accordion) and Paul Sartin (oboe, violin and vocals), “one of folk’s odd couples”,  have for nearly 25 years  wowed audiences around Europe, The States and Australia, with virtuoso musicianship tempered by wry humour. With extravagant lifestyles to support, as well as a love of music, their candle looks set to burn for a good few decades more.

MIDNIGHT SKYRACER
Midnight Skyracer have been tearing up the UK bluegrass and folk scene since their inception less than two years ago. Their all star lineup and exciting live performances have sent them racing skywards at an astounding pace right from the start, with Leanne Thorose’s powerhouse vocals and driving mandolin; Tabitha Agnew’s sweet voice and virtuosic banjo playing; Eleanor Wilkie’s rock solid bass grooves; Laura Carrivick’s flair, being equally adept on both fiddle and dobro; and twin sister Charlotte’s agility on the guitar, with both sisters filling in the vocal harmonies.
